Hills Golf & Sports Club is beautifully situated in a secluded valley bordering the Sandsjöbacka nature reserve outside Gothenburg. Opened in 2005, the course offers a first-class golf and nature experience and was originally the creation of renowned golf course architects Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest. Co-owner and professional golfer Johan Edfors has since redesigned six of our 18 holes and has carefully gone ahead to refine the course, which year after year has been ranked number one in Gothenburg. The track was newly inaugurated on 30 June 2014.

The whole facility aims to blend into the beautiful nature that the surroundings, the Sandsjöbacka reserve, make up. Great consideration has also been given to the surrounding vegetation and animal life. Especially the birdlife – 150 set up birdhouses sit in the trees around the course. The birds there not only attract ornithologists, but also have a positive side effect for the players as each bird family is estimated to eat 30 kilos of insects. Hills has six different tees from 3,936 meters to 6,451 meters, suitable for all types of players. It is one of the longest courses near sea level, in hilly varied terrain with generous fairways and well-placed bunkers as well as alternative routes to the green, something that is significant of Arthur Hill's design. Here, every stroke becomes a fun challenge thanks to the conditions of nature and the course.
